The Streets of Phoenix in Monochrome with the X-PRO1

The following images are 'as-photographed' on the streets of Phoenix Arizona using FujiFilm's Monochrome Ye in-camera filter.  The lens is a Fujinon 27mm, f2.8.     The FujFilm X-Pro1 is a mirrorless interchangeable (X-Mount) lens digital camera of 'Rangefinder" design launched in March 2012. The camera has the first generation  X-Trans CMOS sensor (16-megapixels). The "X-Trans" CMOS sensor uses a different pattern of pixels in order to reduce moirĂ© without the need for an Anti-aliasing filter and also claim to produce better colour reproduction compared to the standard Bayer Array Sensors that reduce moirĂ© effect when shooting regular patterns, but with slightly reduced image resolution. Some photographers and camera enthusiasts call the X-Pro1's first generation X-Trans a "magic sensor" for the beautiful images it produces - especially monochrome.  Despite the camera's 10-year age which is a lifetime as technology advances, the X-Pr

Phoenix Arizona Architecture, Old and New - FujiFilm X-PRO1

On today's street walk I focused on the architecture of an evolving city where old (non-historical) buildings are being torn-down and new apartments and commercial structures are rising.  The city's look and feel is evolving into the 21st century. I brought-along my FujiFilm X-PRO1 fitted with a Fujinon 27mm, f2.8 lens.  This camera is a cult classic with a 12mp XTRANS1 sensor.  Images where photographed in Monochrome Ye filter setting.
